Bear Witness.

Spending time in nature, in a foreign land, can be a grounding experience. A reminder of the bigger picture.

Like sharing my yoga mat with two very persistent flies every single practice!

Playing Uno with a nosy hornet.

Showering with an intrigued gecko.

And my personal favourite, bobbing in the pool while graceful swallows dive to quench their thirst from the sky.

All part of normal life in the mountains of Spain. Of course, some adjusting has been required. A remembering that without all of these creatures, the beauty around us would suffer. There is a balance that humans must remember to uphold.

We can feel like giants in our world. Kings and queens of it all. So what's the antidote to this grandeur we all have the ability to possess? I believe it is to bear witness to it all.

To appreciate the gecko's patience as it waits for a tasty ant snack, and how a wasp and I can equally share a love of medium-rare steak.

No matter how small the existence, it all matters. We all have our purpose. To create balance and to respect it.

So this week, I invite you to step outside and bear witness to something small. Maybe an ant, maybe a flower, maybe a bird. Let yourself feel part of something bigger, the circle of life that we all belong to.

Thank you for being here. Sending love and kindness,

Laura x
